On Saturday 14 November we held our 2009 Final Event in Observatory, Cape Town.  Over 100 youth particpants came to the event from Lavender Hill, Masiphumelele, and Retreat. The event started with a video of the photos that the youth had taken around their communities. They then split into groups with the youth from other communities to share their individual portfolios which were filled with pages about their lives, culture, friends, family, and community. After the sharing the kids enjoyed a meal of burgers, salads, cookies, and smoothies thanks to the donations from local University Students and by Loaded Smoothie company.
The event concluded with Music from two local DJs and a talent show.
We are so proud of all of our youth for their particpation in the project and for sharing their portfolios and talents at the event.
